Opus offer high quality, objective and bespoke process solutions to optimise the performance and environmental efficiency of Oil and Gas production facilities. Our key areas of experience are in the treatment and separation of production fluids and the toxicology and compliance of chemicals in aqua environments.
Adopting a holistic approach, our combined resources offer a unique blend of expertise and services and a well established, efficient and reliable workflow:
Fluids Characterisation surveys form a troubleshooting tool for the Operator. Opus employs this data in recommendations that enhance performance of existing process equipment whilst using our test facilities to verify the recommendations. Opus design, build, install and commission the modified equipment. The success of our proprietary Compact Flotation Unit (CFU) and Mare's Tail coalescer has depended on the same holistic principles.
The Opus Test Facilities replicate field conditions for fluids analysis. The separation process is subjected to the combined strengths of Visual Dynamic Modelling (VDM) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to investigate and optimise fluids separation and reach informed design decisions.
Experienced personnel attend offshore installations utilising modern analytical equipment to establish performance data on clients production installations providing a strong foundation for troubleshooting and performance optimisation.
The Opus Environmental Laboratoies measure and verify the effects of components in chemical formulations used in marine and freshwater environments, to provide important information to Chemical Suppliers and International Oil Companies. Much recent work relates to the approval of chemicals under the HOCNS registration scheme for the use of chemicals offshore.
